from a quick glance at the manual for that router, it doesn't appear you can change its WAN MAC address. doing that will definitely change your IP. as well, i believe if the modem & router are off
Hello. Im not sure if it is a pfSense problem so forgive me. I have a virtualized pfSense box set as a DHCP server and 2 DD-WRT APs. My wireless clients connect to the DD-WRT APs perfectly but they do not get a IP address from them. There are no problems cloning the mac on the router that you should worry about, the only thing it changes is what the modem thinks its connecting to, which would be your pc. The mac address is just a device identification number really. I think the problem comes from all the people using dd-wrt with the generic mac address it gives. The DD-WRT Web interface will appear and you'll be prompted to change your username and password. Choose a username and password, then click the Change Password button.
