Nov 24, 2019 · Luckily the web interface on the 5268AC is virtually identical to that of the i38HG. I have also upgraded my router from the WRT54G to a TP-Link TL-WDR3600 with DD-WRT firmware. Not surprisingly the DD-WRT interface is the same on both units.

Changing the WDR3600 to DD-WRT and connecting to the same VPN allowed me to get speeds close to 17Mbps. Note that using the TP-LINK firmware to connect to the VPN over PPTP worked, but I was unable to access many websites. Thus my switch to DD-WRT. As a follow up I could not get my TP-Link TL-WR1043N 1.1 Router to convert to Gargoyle 1.72 from DD-WRT 2.X through the WEB GUI in DD-WRT.
